FRHS Students Attend Cyber Security Seminar
A group of 14 high school students attended a Cyber Security seminar held at Saint Vincent College in honor of National Cyber Security Awareness Month on Tuesday, October 18th. Spencer Lee Makes Worlds
Senior wrestler Spencer Lee recently competed in the Junior World Wrestling Championships in Macon, France. Lee was in Macon from August 30 until September 5, competing as a freestyle wrestler in the 50 kg weight class. During the competition, he competed against five other wrestlers, one each from Turkey, France, Romania, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan. Members of FR Community Attend 2016 Olympics
The 2016 Summer Olympics took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from August 5th to 21st, and were the 31st Olympic Games. Of the many attendees, two of them were from our very own Franklin Regional. Governor and Senate Clash Over Pennsylvania State Budget
With a new state budget due on June 30th, newly elected Democratic governor Tom Wolf’s new proposal has created a disagreement with Republicans in the state legislature, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. According to the organization StateImpact: NPR, Wolf initially proposed a 5 percent severance tax on the removal of natural gas through fracking but lowered his proposal to 3.5 percent plus 4.7 cents per million cubic feet of natural gas in October.
